Check types

HTTP, keyword, SSL, DNS and heartbeat checks.

Pointsman has five kinds of check. Most services need only the first.

HTTP

Sends a request and checks the status code. Add rules for response time or headers when you need them.

Keyword

Fails if a page stops containing certain text. Useful when a page returns 200 but shows an error.

SSL and domain

Warns you weeks before a certificate or a domain expires.

DNS

Fails when a record changes to something you did not expect.

Heartbeat

Your cron job calls a private URL. If it stops calling, the check fails.
